Fibroids are a huge concern for women. Fibroids are simply growths in the uterus of a woman of child bearing age (essentially every woman who has reached puberty) but do not lead to cancer. It starts with one cell that grows uncontrollably forming a mass of cells (tissue-like) . There is no known cause of fibroids but scientists think that it is related to hormonal imbalances, genetic (there might be a link with inherited genes).

yeah it has but is it so dangerous….cn it lead for one not bearing a child…..?

@Doiea in some cases fibroids can lead to one not being able to conceive, that is be able to be pregnant as the uterus lining is filled with this tissue and therefore it would be hard to take in and be fertilised for one to be pregnant.
However, I know of cases where women have been able to conceive even though they have fibroids. But this makes the pregnancy very difficult as there would be a baby developing in the womb in the presence of fibroids.

Yes it is treatable by surgery – one can have them removed under surgery
