      Definitely patients have rights in hospital or at any healthcare facility. For any procedure to be done, there is need for consent from either a parent or a next of kin. This is done for even surgeries. This is also to protect the health workers in case something goes wrong but also for you as a patient.

      As a patient you also have the right to be given respectful and safe care. You also have the right to be told the consequences of your illness, the treatments available and especially the right to refuse or accept treatment. Another big right for patients is privacy. Your healthcare provider is not supposed to disclose your illness or anything related to your health.
